Carnegie-Edison Infrastructure is a company formed to source and develop aviation sector investments and has strong connections with some of the world’s oldest, largest and most respected private equity firms.
Founded in 2018 by veteran aviation industry executives John Carter and Andrew Rowsell, Carnegie-Edison Infrastructure brings together municipal governments, aviation asset owners, private operators, engineers, aviation professionals and investors to create new models for improved asset management, new construction and system expansion.

PRINCIPALS
John Carter, Partner
John is a seasoned, aviation industry executive with over 25 years of experience in all aspects of airport related investment and management, gained from 15 years at the British Airports Authority (owners or operators at the time of Heathrow, Gatwick, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Melbourne, Perth, Naples, Indianapolis) and 10 years with GE Capital Aviation Services, the world’s largest aircraft lessor.
He has personal experience of over 25 airport PPP deals on the buy and sell-side as both Principal and advisor. In addition, he has worked on some of the more innovative deals in the ground handling, cargo and airline financing sector in recent years.
He holds a both a BSC Hons from Brunel University and an MBA.
Andrew Rowsell, Partner
Andrew brings over 30 years of aviation and wider industry experience developing, negotiating and delivering business plans for retail and transportation infrastructure projects. He offers the unique combined perspective of a former airport retail executive and consulting advisor. Andrew brings a focus on airport commercial development, traffic forecasting and network growth, business planning and economic regulation of airports
He was the former Head of Commercial Strategy at Heathrow Airport Ltd and in recent years has led work launching new international airlines.
He holds both a BA (Hons) in Business Studies and is and Associate Chartered Management Accountant (CIMA).
